After making a donation (or donations) to a donor advised fund of cash, appreciated securities, or even hard assets like collectibles, and then directing the investment of those assets in either the WCM Charitable Fund Giving or Legacy Strategies, the process of making gift recommendations can begin. Gifts can typically be recommended for any recognized charitable entity and submitted for consideration. On approval by the the Triskeles Foundation Board, the gifts are made according to the instructions of the donor in the name designated for the fund. There are no restrictions on how many organizations can be targeted for giving, but we generally recommend making fewer, larger gifts in order to keep the administrative fees for processing the requests to a minimum and increasing the relative impact of the individual gift on the recipient organization.
